More Lyme Stories - Entry for August 23, 2007

As I said before, Ticks are mini-terrorists. I stand by it. Some kind of Plum Island initiative gone bad, no doubt. Anyway, during this summer, the summer that wasn't, we had a new baby, were sleep deprived, my wife contracted and was diagnosed with Lyme, I did 6 weeks consecutive overnights with the new born, signed up for Ironman Lake Placid '08, was further sleep deprived, began ramping up training for a fall marathon, and was just dignosed with Lyme myself!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Sh&^%T! No wonder I have felt sluggish and a shade less snap in my step. No wonder my shoulders ache though I have decreased my swim training significantly. No wonder my back hurts when I sit in my office chair, or right now for that matter. Bastard ticks.

Anyhow, I have been off for two days since I had a busy work day yesterday and today was sorting out Doxycycline. Oh joy. But have to keep going. Didn't stop me on Sunday or Tuesday, no need for it to stop me on Friday.

Later, MW
