So I had to sneak in 4 miles after work to day in the light rain. Humid as all heck. Like running in soup. All sorts of crazy aches in my left hip (a perenial trouble spot for the kid) in the first 1.5 miles. It eased up after. Oh well, the Orthopedist said I had genetically tight ligaments, etc. Yeah right, whatever. Recommended some assitive stretching at the P.T. I really like the P.T. I work with, but it gets pricy after a few weeks, so I'm back to the assistive stretching with the dog leash around the foot and doing all these hip circles that I picked up from the Chi Running book that my sister in law gave me for Christmas last year. I'm not feeling that revolution yet, but my mechanics are pretty good. Th eproblem goes back to the office job and my inability to maintain a solid posture for 8+ hours at the computer.... Enough of my crap. The companies should schedule in morning and afternoon fitness sessions to keep the staff in shape. Lower health care costs, etc. Kind of like big kid recess. I like this idea. At work my boss said my title should be Idea Factory Manager. I told him not to tempt me or I'd put it on my business card. He didn't really care, but the accountant/contract manger said the gov't rate for consultants who are in that bracket has yet to be tallied. Back to Computer Programmer / Analyst, and Project Manager for now....
That' s it for now. My baby, by the way has been sleeping a few more hours in a row and it is amazing what 4 straight hours feels like after mopre than 30 days straight of 2 hours or less ina row....
